The Stage
Recent catastrophic failures of high-profile enterprises have instigated the imposition of greater national and international regulatory standards. The auditability and accuracy associated with these standards have made it imperative that data handling be automated using a convergence of enterprise reporting with sophisticated analytics. There is also a requirement for organisations to be more transparent in their reporting procedures. These factors, in turn, have created an opportunity to exploit corporate information as a strategic asset. CPM systems have developed in response to these needs.
